It has been a wonderful day weatherwise and fishingwise.
Offshore good yellowfin tuna fishing. Good catches of dolphin most mixed with tuna. A lot of gaffer size dolphin and good size yellowfins.
A sailfish was caught and released.
Inshore in the morning mostly tailor bluefish and some spanish mackerel, in the afternoon more spanish mackerel with the bluefish.
Inshore bottom fishing good catches of triggerfish, amberjacks and a cobia. One open boat caught several dolphin that strayed too close in.
An open boat caught flounders and released striped bass in the sound. The striped bass were around 25 inches in length. Other open boats caught bluefish. There were speckled trout and flounders caught by open boats also.
Miss Oregon Inlet caught croakers and flounders in the morning, flounders, croakers and sea mullet in the afternon.
