Capt. Mike reported that the 8am boat had another very good day fishing close to home along Rhode Island's south shore beaches. There was plenty of action just about the entire day with a nice mix of keepers and shorts. Phil from Torrington Ct had the days biggest fish of the day, a fine 8lb plus slab as part of a 5 keeper catch and 25 to 30 shorts. Mr. Pak from New York had 5 nice keepers to 5lbs and 50 plus shorts for the day including 8 double headers!! Mike Neri from Rhode Island had a fine catch of 5 keeper fluke as well including a brace of 4lbrs out of a total catch of 44 fish., and one good size sea bass. Most anglers caught 15 to 30 plus fish apiece today and the majority went home with some nice fluke fillets. Several other keeper sea bass today and one big scup. All terminal gear was productive today although the hi lo spro and hi low bait rig was tough to beat. Tandem bait rig did well today but had a few complications due to the short bite on some of the fish. Spinners also took their share of fish today as well. Next 8am fluke trip sails Wed morning aboard the Lady Frances.
