Capt. Ray reported squid fishing was excellent. The last couple nights were very good but last night was even better with all the sharpies filling a five gallon bucket or close to it. The majority of anglers did close to a half bucket or better. A nice steady pick all night long with squid everywhere in the water column. Again a few fluke ate the squid jigs but nothing big last night. A nice mix in sizes with the mollusks but again lots of big squid to 16 inches plus! Next squid trip is set to sail tonight at 7pm on the Admiral Frances by reservation so call today and get in on this great squid fishing while it lasts!

Capt. George reported the fluke fishing was better today. A slow pick but much better than yesterday. Mostly nice keepers with very few shorts but just not in the numbers we had hoped for. Dan Melino had a nice brace of jo's that included fish of 5.5 and 4.5lbs. Another fish around 5 lbs as well. No particular rig seemed to produce better than any other. We look forward to better fishing tomorrow aboard the Admiral Frances which sets sail at 8am.

Unfortunately due to lack of reservations there is no squid trip tonight. It is unfortunate due to the great squid fishing we have been experiencing. There was some interest but unfortunately it was too late which is why we stress reservations. Next squid trip will set sail Thursday evening at 7pm aboard the Admiral Frances.

Unfortunately we did not get out cod fishing today, there were some calls but not enough people showed up. It is too bad as the last two cod trips have been pretty decent. Tomorrow we are going cod fishing because we have reservations. Depending on how the codfish treat us tomorrow we may try to go on Wednesday, buit again reservations are necessary as we do not want crew showing up to just go home. Yes phone calls with meaning behind them are VERY IMPORTANT! The codfish boat is scheduled to be the Gail Frances at 7am.

Capt. Don reported the offshore cod fish trip was okay. There were some signs of improvement. Anglers had a mixed bag of cod, good size hake, red hake. Pollock, giant ocean perch, a few cusk. Largest cod was only in the mid teens but some of the hake topped out in the lower 30s.

Capt. Mike reported the offshore cod trip, the private charter, was also okay. Anglers did get a decent amount of cod with some nice fish into the low and mid 20s plus some giant ocean perch and a few small Pollock. Capt. Mike also noted some signs of improvement.
