Capt. Mike reported fishing on the 8am fluke boat enjoyed a great day today. It was a late bite but when the fluke turned on it was hot and heavy. A lot of quality fish brought to the net today. Angler hi lights for the day include but were not limited to the following: San and his two friends from North Brookfield Mass who combined for 17 large fluke to 7lbs. The fellas had at least a half dozen fish over 4lbs and they had one nice sea bass, All using spro jig combinations. Mr. Pak nailed his limit of large fluke to 5lbs and one jumbo sea bass also using the spro jigs while his friend had 6 fine keepers to 5lbs on a hi lo rig. John Plodzik from Middletown,Ct had 4 good size fluke including the pool winning slab of just over 8lbs. Bruce and his Uncle Jo from Philadelphia combined for 8 keepers and his Uncle came in with a fish just under 8lbs that just missed the pool and this big doormat was fooled by Jo's homemade 7 beaded rig!! Jon Wils from New York put 5 good fluke in his cooler. Eben York had his limit of large fluke to 5lbs and lost a bigger fish right at the net while Dan Konkol went home with 6 fluke to over 4lbs. Tom from Ct went home with 4 jumbo fluke today, all in the 4 to 5lb range. An angler fishing just a simple tandem bait rig with no colors or any bells and whistles, just one strip of squid and one spearing on each hook had the a fine brace of jumbo fluke of 8.5 and 4.5lbs to top off his limit catch while his buddy fishing the exact same way went home with 5 keeper fluke to just over 4lbs. Next 8am fluke boat sails tomorrow morning aboard the Admiral Frances.
