Yesterday we had Craig and his son Stewart, John and Steve who fished with us this time last year. The weather was calling for 15-25 so we knew the day was going to be a lil sporty. Smooth ride all the way out to the fishing grounds. No wind and flat seas with a big swell about 15 seconds apart. It was gorgeous all day long.

Of course the Captain puts us on the fish as always right off the bat. First we started with the Mahi's. Then we snagged a Wahoo on the bridge pole. Then we went back to the Mahi's. A little while later we caught a King on the bridge pole and an other Wahoo on the left long. We picked at the Mahi's over the next couple hours here and there.
Then around 11:00 the bridge pole goes to screaming pretty good. The BEAST hands the rod down to me and says "Damn". We put Steve in the chair and he goes to working on his fish. The BEAST says " Steve, you know what you have on the end of that string?" Steve says "NO" The BEAST said "Neither do we so keep on cranking" A few minutes later up came a pretty special Yellowfin about 30 lbs. We were very proud to have him no doubt about it.
We went to picking at the Mahi's some more over the next couple hours and picked up a Wahoo here and there. The bite was pretty good today.

Over all it was a great day on the water. Great weather, great fishing and great company.

We ended up with 26 Mahi, 4 Wahoo, 2 King's, 1 Yellowfin and 1 Skipjack.
