Several offshore boats caught big eye tunas on Saturday and more boats caught big eyes on Sunday. Yellowfin tunas were caught on both days as well as gaffer size dolphin. The big eye's average weights were well over 100 pounds each. The biggest recorded weighed 154 pounds. A sailfish was caught and released Sunday.
Inshore boats caught tailor bluefish and sea bass. Open boats caught puppy drum on Saturday. On Sunday one open boat had excellent speckled trout on an all day trip another caught speckled trout and flounders on half day trips. Miss Oregon Inlet caught bluefish and flounders.
