Capt. Mike reported a fair day with the fluke locally. The fish are continuing to exhibit signs of being more aggressive. A tremendous amount of squid all over the fluke grounds as well. Small bucktails fished in tandem and tandem bait rigs were the way to go today. One angler had 4 fine keepers as part of a total catch of 26 fish while another angler had 4 good fish for a total of 10 caught. Largest was around 4lbs. Over the last couple trips the fishing has been showing signs of improvement and should bust wide open any day. Next fluke trip sets sail tommorrow morning at 8am on the Admiral Frances.

Captain Ray just called in to say that last nights squid trip was red hot. It was the best squid night of the year. In the words of Captain Paul they crushed them. People had coolers and buckets full. The weather looks great for the trips this weekend. We will be sailing at 7pm Friday, Saturday and Sunday night.
Captain Rich is spending the day getting the Gail ready for the weekend. As he put it the Cod Fish Express will be sailing to Cox's Ledge at 7 am all three days of the holiday weekend. There seems to be plenty of bait around. On the last cod trip jigs and tubes were working as well if not better then the fresh clams.
