Capt. Mike reported a very strong day of local fluke fishing. Many anglers had 4 and 5 nice keepers apiece. A half dozen jumbos on the boat as well including Frank from New York who nailed an 8lb slab but wasnt in the pool. Another fellow had a fine brace of fluke that included a 7lb and a 4.5lbr while John Wils from lower New York State took the pool with a 6.5lbr. Several other nice fish in the 4 to 5lb range as well. Plenty of shorts as well to keep anglers busy with several anglers catching 20 to 25 fish apiece. The last hour of the trip featured some of the best action yet this year with fish hitting various types of rigs rather aggressively. Today was the best day of the season so far and we look for the action to only build from here. Tadem bait rigs and hi lo rigs were top producers today but all methods were producing good fish. Next fluke trip sets sail tommorrow morning aboard the Lady Frances at 8am.
