Tautog fishing continued to be solid the past few days. We also heard reports of drum fish up the bay and hope to catch one this up coming weekend. Off shore fishing for sea bass and tile fish was supposedly good from what I could gather listening in on the radio. We will be running our first sea bass trips of the year later on this week and expect to have some good fishing with maybe some nice flounder mixed in.
Our sister boat Restless Lady fishing out of Oregon Inlet, N.C. caught some mahi mahi today and had a brief encounter with a blue marlin. He tells me the yellow fin tuna fishing was better on Friday then today but in general has been slow. There were 10 blue marlin caught today in the fleet though and they expect the tuna fishing to get better each week.
