Hello everyone;
Weather today at Hurricane bank was wonderful. We had 8 to 10 knots of breeze, flat seas, and sunny. It was a bit warm in the afternoon. The weather was not the only thing to change, so was our fishing.
Today was the first day the Yellowfin made a good showing for the R/p. Our morning was a bit slow, but after lunch things started to pick up. We did have a slight Shark problem, but we made the best of our situation. We had quality Yellowfin biting. This was a mixed bite, with fish coming on the kite and Sardines. Largest fish today came on the kite, caught by Chico Leonard. Chico Yellowfin weighed 267 pounds. We had two other fish over 200 pound, caught by the same angler, Jack Gruschus. Most of the other fish caught were in the 120 to 180 pound catogory. With to good bite on the Yellowfin, we will give this another day or two. Wahoo fishing continues to be very good.
We did have a few heartbreaks today, with David Fay hooking into a giant fish. David would fight this fish for over an hour, but as the sun started to set, so did the Sharks on his fish. When they got finished with his fish, the only thing left was the tail. Many other anglers would lose fish to the Sharks. For those of you that have fished Hurricane bank, then you know how bad the Sharks can be. So we hope that they are full, so we can get busy again tomorrow. So wish us luck and we will keep you updated on our upcoming events.
