Got offshore yesterday, fished the 100/400 area. Beautiful day with ideal conditions. Fished 72-74 degree water all day, real slow in the AM till noon. Bite picked up and decked 6 Mahi, just after noon we found a floating crab pot bouy attached to a tree. Looked like National Geographic underneath. Mahi and triple tail were everywhere. Picked up a couple more trolling by it, then started chunking to them. Picked up several more this way. Ended the day with 15 Mahi from 7-20lb. Heard some chatter on the radio of YFT being caught offshore of the GTH in 1500ft of water. Captain said he had 10 YFT, 6 Mahi and a couple of wahoo by noon! Maybe thats where they are at, caught all our fish from 250-450 ft. Awesome day to be on the water!!
